The Restless Natives Show is a blend of sketches, song, music, parody, spoken word, story, cheerful satire, anarchic interludes, and our celebrated gameshow.
Our material covers a huge range of topics, from biodiversity, agriculture, natural cycles, food, and GMOs, to recycling, permaculture, personal responsibility, and our relationship to the land, via climate change, over-fishing, species extinction, trade issues, our out-of-sight-out-of-mind attitude to waste and pollution, and much more.
Concieved in our imaginations, and written entirely by Restless Natives, the Show also borrows widely from popular culture. We give unexpected and entertaining twists to familiar forms: lavish West End and big screen musical numbers, and television showbiz glitter, are particular favourites of ours for the inimitable Restless Natives treatment.
A typical performance begins and ends with the characteristic humour and energy that carry the Show, with a more serious and reflective section in the middle.
Live music features throughout the show.
The Restless Natives Show is supple and adaptable. It can be bolted together in varying ways to cater for different time slots, audiences, and environments, and to be responsive to particular issues. It is also possible to centre the Show around a single theme.
